The Benefits of Medical Exercise for Chronic Conditions

Musculoskeletal

Diabetes

Exercise helps control your blood sugar, HbA1c levels, and heart disease risk factors. It also boosts your insulin sensitivity.

High Blood Pressure

Exercise can make a big difference for HBP. It strengthens the heart muscle, allowing it to pump blood with less effort, reducing the force on your arteries.

Arthritis

Exercise can help prevent arthritis from getting worse. Additionally, losing excess pounds with exercise takes pain-inducing stress off of your joints.

Neurological Conditions

We work with people with certain neurological conditions, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's disease. Medical Exercise Training may occur alongside and/or after physical therapy, as soon as a licensed medical professional clears the patient for exercise. All programs focus on maintaining/improving the client's overall function, balance, coordination, range of motion, strength for daily activities, physical endurance, and gait patterns.

High Cholesterol

Our programs for hyperlipidemia focus on the types of exercise that effectively lower LDL/triglycerides and raise HDL

Heart Disease

Training with heart disease focuses on safely building cardiorespiratory endurance and aerobic fitness.

Low Back Pain (non-specific)

Exercise has been shown to be one of the most effective treatments for non-specific low back pain. Programs focus on core strength and stabilization.

TESTIMONIALS

Cynthia J

Jason receives my highest recommendation.

“I've trained with him for several years and he never disappoints. Last year I had several problems and hospitalizations which left me weak and disabled. His excellent program rehabilitated my condition and I am now stronger and healthier then ever before. You will not find a better trainer.”
